The Storm have based their emblem around that of Australia Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club. The club is seen as having a very strong first team, with most putting the Storm only behind Russian giants Vereya Bears (Whom our last club feature was on).The clubs colours are sky blue.Whilst the Storm have seen success mostly due to the hard work of those in and around the club, they have benefited also from the migration of Vereya players to Moscow. Coached by the legendary Otradnov Alexander, who has played for the Russian national team at Wembley Stadium.A bit from the Storm website about the club:We are strong, smart and beautiful boys and girls, we have to endure the pain and do not deceive the judges rolling around on the field with horrible grimace as footballers. A bit about the town: With a population of just over 5,000 people, Vereya is located a little over 100 kilometres south-west of our capital Moscow. The Bears are the only sporting team truly synonymous with the town of Verya and the locals consider it their own. The history of the town goes back some 700 years and we are very proud to be associated with it.A bit about the team: Vereya play out of Vereya Stadium which is where many of RussiaЂЂЂs interenational Rugby League games have been held including our World Cup qualifying game against Lebanon in October last year when we went down 0-32.The biggest honour for Vereya Bears was their appearance in the 2008 Challenge Cup where they were beaten by Leigh Miners 64-12.
